Budget Friendly Tenda BE3600 ME3 Pro vs Deco vs Cudy

Tenda Be3600 ME3 Pro is budget friendly mesh wifi7 in entry level category. How this Tenda be3600 perform compared to Deco be3600 and Cudy M3600?

In this article:

What this product does

Tenda ME3 Pro (or Tenda EE3 Pro in global name) is one of affordable BE3600 mesh wifi 7 products in low end category, it’s a dual-band Wi-Fi 7 mesh system designed to provide high-speed, whole-home coverage with advanced features like Multi-Link Operation (MLO) and NFC for easy connections. Similar to this product is Deco BE23, or Asus DB4, or new Cudy M3600.

One step higher level of this product is Tenda ME6 Pro, which is dual band BE5100 wifi7 system delivering bandwidth up to 5000 Mbps (4323Mbps @5GHz + 688Mbps @2.4GHz). This should be comparable to Deco BE25, or Asus DB5.

Tenda Vs Deco Vs Cudy

Both Tenda models and those comparable deco and Cudy products are categorized into low end products with affordable prices. These low-cost products pose a real threat to major vendors like Netgear and Asus, which price their products higher. The market share for low-end Wi-Fi routers is significantly larger than that of mid-range and high-end products. This makes competition in this low-end product category very tight.

Tenda BE3600

Knowing that the entry level of wifi7 products is powerful for home, even for large homes, the demand is quite high. With this low end products you can work and play, including video streaming, video call with your webcams such as eMeet and Nexigo 4k webcams.

Now let’s focus on Tenda ME2 Pro and compare it with Deco and Cudy.

Tenda BE3600 vs Deco

TP-Link Deco is a popular brand in mesh wifi routers which prices are lower than those well known Orbi and Asus products.  Deco BE23 is the entry level of Deco series in mesh wifi 7 products which the price is categorized as affordable products. Can Tenda ME3 Pro compete with this low end Deco product?

Table 1 show you spec comparison between Tenda BE3600 and Deco BE23 to help you decide which one is suitable to meet your home network.

Deco be23 be3600

All the three products are designed with the same BE3600 network segment, dual band mesh wifi 7, the lowest level of wifi 7 products.

See also Asus BE3600 vs Netgear vs Archer wifi7 routers.

Processor

One of the weakness points of Tenda  is the dual core processor embedded on ME3 Pro which is only a dual core CPU as opposed to its competitors Deco and Cudy which both are Quad core CPU.

A router with a quad-core CPU generally provides superior performance compared to one with a dual-core CPU, especially when handling complex or demanding network environments with multiple devices. The additional cores enable true parallel processing, allowing the router to manage more tasks simultaneously.

With this reality, Tenda BE3600 should theoretically provide a slower networking process than Deco and Cudy, unless Tenda has software that is much more efficient than Deco and Cudy.

See also best value Archer GE650 vs Asus BE1200 wifi7 routers that all come with Quad core processors for fast processing tasks.

Interfaces

Tenda be3600 and Cudy, come equipped with 1GE WAN port so they can support internet speed up to 1Gbps. On the other hand, deco be3600 comes equipped with 2.5GE WAN port to allow you subscribe blast internet speed up to 2.5Gbps from your provider. Even though you don’t require Internet speed up to 2Gbps, but Deco be3600 comes with 2.5GE LAN port while the other two only 1GE. Unfortunately, this 2.5GE LAN port is only one. Both Tenda and Cudy come with two 1GE LAN ports.

Comparison table Tenda vs Deco

Quad core processor for Deco be3600 is one of the advantages in opposed to Tenda. And Deco with 2x 2.5GE ports is another advantages besides the CPU.

Cudy M3600 vs Deco vs Asus Which One is Suitable for You

Cudy M3600 is one of best value entry level mesh wifi 7 products on the market. How does this product compete with popular Deco BE23 and Asus BD4?

In this article:

Why Cudy?

Cudy is relatively new networking company. It is one of Chinese brands in networking sector, and it was established in 2018 as Shenzhen Cudy Technology Co., Ltd. It is headquartered in the Nanshan District of Shenzhen, China. As a new company,

Cudy’s strategy to attract customer market share is by offering products at significantly lower prices up to 30-50% than equivalent models from other major brands like TP-Link or ASUS. Their products are not just cheap, but stable hardware. Most users report strong thermal management (well-ventilated cases) and reliable signals even through thick walls.

However, it’s not like TP-Link and Asus, Cudy software feel less “polished” or “flashy” but still user-friendly and easy to use.

Entry level Cudy

At the entry level wifi 7 category, you can find Cudy M3600 which is targeted to compete with popular Deco be23 and Asus BD4. However, Deco and Asus also provide discounts to match Cudy’s price when they are under pressure from competitors with lower prices.

Cudy M3600

Unfortunately, the Cudy M3600 wifi7 only supports internet speeds up to 1G. This is in contrast to its predecessor, the Cudy M3000 wifi6, which supports internet speeds up to 2.5G. However, internet speed of 1G is more than enough to support your work and play, including web browsing, media social tasks, webcam need such as budget friendly eMeet or Nexigo 4k webcams.

Check out these lower-end Cudy products comparison table below:

So, should you require mesh wifi that supports up to 2.5Gbps internet speed with lower price, Cudy M3000 is worth buying. However this one is still wifi6 standards. See also low end wifi7 routers, check here Asus BE3600 vs Netgear vs Archer wifi7 routers.

Now, let’s compare how this Cudy M3600 with popular Deco M23 and Asus BD4 which the prices are almost the same as M3600.

Cudy M3600 vs Deco BE23

Deco BE23 is the lowest level of TP-Link mesh wifi 7 which is currently very popular for its performance and budget friendly product. It uses the streamlined Deco mobile app for setup and management, and offers TP-Link HomeShield for network security and parental controls. Its sibling is Deco BE25, one step higher rang than be23. See also Deco be25 vs Asus DB5 BE5000, both are also popular at lower end wifi7 category.

Deco BE23
Internet support

Unlike its predecessor Cudy M3000 that supports internet speed up to 2.5Gbps, M3600 only supports up to 1G internet speed. While its rivals Deco BE23 and Asus BD4 come with 2.5G WAN Ports to allow you subscribe fast internet speed up to 2.5GE from your providers. Most today cable modem with DOCSIS 3.1 technology come with 2.5Gbps Ethernet port such as Arris S33, Motorola MB8611, or Netgear CM2000 DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem.

See also Arris G20 vs Cax30, best value all-in-one wifi 6 routers with built-in DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem.

Besides the WAN port, M3600 is less advantages compared to the other two rivals only if you require multi-gig LAN port. Both Deco and Asus come equipped with 2.5G LAN port, while Cudy only comes with 2x 1G LAN ports.

Faster processor

Cudy M3600 comes embedded with 2.0GHz quad core processor, faster clock rate than its rivels Deco BE23 and Asus BD4. The faster clock rates the faster the processor completes the processing networking tasks. Generally a processor with a higher clock rate (measured in Gigahertz, GHz) is better for a Wi-Fi router, but this benefit depends heavily on other factors.

The clock rate determines how many instructions the CPU can execute per second. A faster processor can handle complex network tasks more quickly, which is essential for managing the demands of a modern 2026 home network.

 Cudy M3600 vs Asus

In terms of network security, Asus BD4 (and other Asus router products) is secure in nature thanks to Asus AiProtection feature. ASUS AiProtection matters significantly for ASUS router owners, as it provides a robust, subscription-free suite of commercial-grade network security and parental control features that are typically offered as paid add-ons by other brands.

Asus BD4 BE3600

Cudy doesn’t come with network security feature like Asus does. Deco comes with TP-Link HomeShield for comprehensive network protection, robust parental controls, and real-time IoT security.

Both AiProtection and HomeShield service add crucial layers of defense and control that a standard router lacks.

Nexigo with its newer model (n970p) is designed with AI-powered auto framing and face detection, an enhancement from the previous N950 model.

Resolution and frame rate

Webcam resolution is primary factor in visual clarity. 4k webcams should be technically four times as clarity as 1080p webcams. Even though 4k webcams don’t always guarantee a better experience, there are still other factors that influence the performance. While frame rate / frame per second (FPS) for webcams is critical metric, since it relates directly to how professional your video appears to others at the other end.

Asus Vs Archer Wifi 7 gaming routers

Next, let’s compare the Archer GE650 with the Asus GS-BE12000, using Table 3 below as a reference. Both fall into the same mid-range WiFi 7 gaming router category. They are tri-band BE11000 WiFi 7 standalone routers and include the 6GHz band, which offers a cleaner and less congested wireless experience. To take full advantage of this band, you can upgrade older devices with WiFi 7 USB adapters such as the Archer TBE401UH or the Asus ROG USB-BE92. These WiFi 7 adapters support the 6GHz band, helping you enjoy faster and more reliable connections.

Ethernet Ports

Both the Archer GE650 and the Asus ROG GS-BE12000 are built with gamers in mind, taking advantage of the fast WiFi 7 standard and features like MLO to deliver higher throughput. For smooth, low-latency internet connections, both routers support multi-gig speeds through their WAN ports. The Archer GE650 includes a 5Gbps WAN port, while the Asus GS-BE12000 supports up to 2.5Gbps. Some higher-end models go even further with 10Gbps WAN ports, making them more future-ready for upcoming DOCSIS 4.0 cable technology.

Archer GE650 BE11000

In terms of wired connectivity, the Asus ROG GS-BE12000 offers more Ethernet ports overall, while the Archer GE650 stands out with its faster 5Gbps ports for both WAN and LAN. Asus, on the other hand, provides multiple 2.5Gbps LAN ports for high-speed wired connections to several devices.

 All-in-one or separate devices

An all-in-one product is a compact device, eliminating clutter of devices at home. However, an all-in-one product such as Arris G20 or Netgear Cax30 is a single point of failure product. In case of you need to upgrade your network to the latest wifi 7 standards, you need to get rid of this device and replace it with faster one such as Arris G54. Arrs G54 comes with the latest wifi7 standards.

So if you like to be flexible in the future, a separate modem device plus wifi router is a better solution instead of an all-in-one device like G20 and Cax30. In this case, when you invest for example Arris S33 you can add the wifi router leveraging from previous wifi standards (wifi 5, wifi 6) up to latest wifi 7.

Orbi vs eero 7 Which One is suitable for your business need

Netgear introduces various models of wifi7 products, and the Orbi series leveraging wifi7 standards compete tightly with well known eero 7 series. How good Orbi vs eero 7 series perform?

In this article:

Orbi mesh wifi 7 vs eero

WiFi 7 is now widely available, and all major networking brands have launched products built on this latest standard. TP-Link was one of the first to bring WiFi 7 devices to market, ahead of other brands such as Netgear, Asus, and Amazon with its popular eero lineup.

Unlike Netgear, TP-Link, and Asus – which offer a wide range of WiFi 7 models – Amazon has kept its lineup simple, releasing just three eero 7 series (plus an outdoor model). In this section, let’s focus on the Orbi 7 series, which is often compared directly with the eero 7.

Eero7 series

eero is a well-known networking brand, especially for its mesh Wi-Fi systems that are designed to deliver smooth and reliable coverage across homes and offices. It became popular thanks to its easy setup and simple app-based management, making it a great choice for people who want hassle-free Wi-Fi.

The brand is known for keeping things simple while still offering stable performance, even in larger spaces with many connected devices. eero systems generally perform well and handle multiple devices without much trouble. That said, eero products are usually priced a bit higher compared to similar options from brands like TP-Link and Netgear.

eero max 7

Eero 7 Lineup Series

Netgear offers various models of Orbi 7 series, while so far Amazon offers three series of eero products leveraging wifi 7 standards that represent lower end; middle range and high end tier each.

  1. Eero max 7 as the high end product
  2. Eero 7 pro as the middle range tier
  3. Eero 7 as the lower end category.
Eero 7 comparison

So, what differentiates the three series? Broadly speaking, the eero 7 pro costs twice as much as the eero 7 (entry-level), while the eero max 7 costs twice as much as the eero 7 pro. You might expect the performance to also double at each higher tier. Frankly speaking, the aggregated bandwidth is double at each higher level, so is the internet speed it can support. Orbi 7 series are almost the same.

The entry level is dual band system, while the other two series are tri-band mesh system. Take a closer look at the following spec comparison table for the three eero series.

In terms of price points, both low end and middle range products are competitive. However, the price gap for the high end tiers is quite large. Let’s start with the entry level category.

Entry level Orbi vs eero 7

Both the entry level of eero 7 and Orbi 370 series are tagged with competitive price. The features are almost the same, including the aggregated bandwidth, the port interfaces, and the quad core processor. The embedded processor is the same, but the memory capacity is different. Eero series all come with larger memory to manage and control high traffic and simultaneous multiple loads and other complex algorithm for eero Truemesh technology.

Orbi 370 Series
Built-in Zigbee

The main difference between the two is the Zigbee feature. All the eero system feature built-in Zigbee smart home that allow you to connect and control low-power smart home devices with Alexa without needing a separate, dedicated hub. On the other hand, all Orbi series don’t have this feature. So, when built-in Zigbee matters to your business, eero 7 series would the best option.

The previous wifi standards don’t have this kind of MLO feature.

Asus RT-BE58U

Take a look at the following table 4 that represents spec comparison table between asus rt-be58u and archer be230 routers. Both are dual band be2300 entry level of wifi7 standalone routers on the market.

Ethernet Ports

Both products support multi-gig Internet connection with their 2.5Gbps WAN port. Unlike Asus, Archer be230 is embedded with 2.5Gbps LAN port. However, with internet connection under 1Gbps speed, you can enable the 1Gbps WAN port for internet connection and 2.5Gbps port as LAN port.

So in terms of LAN port, Archer is more advantage when you subscribe multi-gig internet speed up to 2G. so you still have one 2.5G LAN port for high speed NAS or other wired LAN connected devices.

TP-Link Archer BE230
Dual WAN

Both asus be3600 and TP-Link routers come equipped with USB 3.0 port for storage share. However, Asus rt-be58u allows you to connect USB 4g/5g dongle for secondary Internet connection in either Failover or load balance configuration.

Legacy Deco X60 vs Orbi Is It Still worth Buying

After the success of its WiFi 5 product through its debut, the Deco M5, as the WiFi 6 standard emerged at that time, TP-Link introduced the Deco X20 and X60. Currently, the WiFi 7 standard is available, and TP-Link is utilizing this latest WiFi standard into their products, from entry-level products such as the Deco BE23 and BE25 to high-end products. Are those legacy wifi6 products still worth buying?

In this article:

Deco x60 is the second wifi 6 products after its successful with its wifi6 debut, deco x20 ax1800. X20 successfully competed with similar products on the market such as Netgear mk62. X60 is twice as much bandwidth as X20, and how those legacy products compete amid the emerging of wifi 7 products on the market?

Currently there are few Deco ax3000 models on the market including:

  • X60 – the first tplink series in ax3000
  • X55 – the second series in ax3000
  • X50 POE – Powerline backhaul

What makes them set apart?

TP-Link Deco AX3000

Deco x60 vs Deco x55

Both deco x60 and x55 are designed with the same ax3000 network segment, dual band delivering bandwidth up to 867Mbps @5GHz and 400Mbps @2.4GHz. The x60 uses 4x internal antennas, while the x55 only uses two internal dual band antennas with AI-driven mesh technology. All the latest Deco series currently come with the same AI Mesh technology.

Ethernet Ports

All previous deco series ranging from deco m5, m9 plus, x20, x25 (new series of deco ax1800), x60, and x90, come with only two 1G Ethernet ports. However, the newer x55 model comes with three 1G ports. all the Ethernet ports feature WAN/LAN auto sensing. This means all unit can be interchangeable, can work either as router or satellite node.

With three Ethernet ports, you can configure wired backhaul using star backhaul topology for three node mesh without adding a switch. Deco x60 with 3-pack, you need to add a non-managed switch for star backhaul topology. Unless, you need to configure them using daisy chain wired backhaul topology.

The other thing you also need to know is that these two series can either work as mesh wifi router (default mode) or wireless access point mode. You can change from the ‘Change operation mode’ menu and select Access Point radio button. In this case, your modem in home is not a native modem but modem gateway either wired or wireless gateway such as Motorola mg8702 or Asus cmax600.

As a best practice, if you have to use this deco x60 to work as wireless Access Point in business wireless network, it’s better not to use deco products, but use native wifi AP device that is designed to work as wireless AP such as tplink Omada series.

Deco x60 vs BE23

The latest wifi-7 standard has been around, and most vendors introduce their products leveraging this new wifi standard. TP-link introduced deco be23 and be25 for its low end wifi7 products, and other ones in middle to high end products. With this wifi7 products emerging, are deco x60 and other similar products still worth buying?

They are still worth, off course. With the new technology, mostly the products leveraging this wifi standard come with higher price tag. If the high speed demand is not an urgent case, you still can use legacy products with budget friendly.

Let’s take new deco be23 that comes with current wifi7 standards, and compare it with the legacy x60 series and see how they set apart.

Faster capacity

Deco be23 and be25 is the lower end deco products leveraging wifi7 standards. Be23 and be25 come equipped with 2.5G auto sensing WAN/LAN ports. They can support internet speed up to 2G, easily connect to current high speed DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem that come with 2.5G ports.

With your current connected devices with legacy wifi6, they can support for sure, since the new wifi standards are designed to be backward compatible with previous one. However, when you upgrade all your connected devices to be wifi7 compliant, you get the best speed possible wifi7 can deliver.

Currently there are few models of USB wifi7 adapters on the market such as TP-Link Archer TBE401UH, or you may consider budget friendly BrosTrend BE6500.

There are still legacy products on the market that are still worth of purchasing such as Orbi rbk750 which is comparable with deco x60.

Deco X60 vs Orbi Rbk750

Deco x60 and Orbi rbk750 don’t work at the same network segment, however the work at slightly different network segment. X60 is a dual band ax3000, while rbk750 is a tri-band ax4200. Orbi uses one of its 5GHz bands as dedicated backhaul link between the nodes. On the other hand deco uses wifi backhaul shared with other connected devices. There always bandwidth allocation for wifi backhaul, even though you use ired backhaul.

Orbi RBK753

Deco doesn’t specifically specify which radio band is used as the wifi backhaul link between nodes, however TP-link uses APS (Adaptive Path Selection) which means that the connection between these nodes adapts to the needs via which radio band is best available when it comes to connecting between nodes for best backhaul link.

Ethernet Ports

Unlike deco units which are interchangeable in nature, Orbi is not. Orbi units distinct which one is router, and which one is satellite unit. Orbi routers come with WAN port, but the Orbi satellites don’t. So, if the Orbi router fails, you cannot switch it with the other satellite node to work as the router. With Deco, you can do that, they come with Ethernet ports that feature WAN/LAN auto sensing.

Internet speed

Deco x60 supports internet speed up to 1G, so does Orbi. However with Orbi, if you require multi-gig internet speed, you can aggregate WAN port with another Ethernet port #1 to connect to cable modem that supports dual Gigabit port and feature aggregation link. You may consider Netgear CM2100 which supports aggregation link.

Currently, the wifi7 products support Multi-gig internet speed at list 2.5Gbps. Orbi 370 series, the new entry level wifi7 products comes with 2.5Gbps WAN port, so does new Deco be23 and be25. See also Orbi 370 vs Deco be25 entry level wifi7 products, you may see the prices are cheaper than legacy products.

Asus be5000 vs eero 7

Asus be5000 (bd5) is one of low end products which is comparable to eero 7. Both are budget friendly products to taste the latest generation of wifi technology (wifi7). Technically both products are the same, the same total aggregated bandwidth, the same Ethernet ports, the same quad processor, but there are couple of things different.

Asus BE5000
Larger memory

As general eero 7 comes with built-in zigbee for smart home hub, and see that the memory capacity is much larger than Asus. So what is the function of larger memory capacity for eero router? The larger memory both RAM and Flash is used to manage and control high traffic and simultaneous multiple loads and other complex algorithm for eero Truemesh technology. No wonder that eero is popular with its high performance in responsive, efficient and smooth network for connected devices including mobile devices, computers, NAS, and also your webcams. Asus BQ16 vs eero max 7

The high end mesh products offered by Asus are BQ16 series. There two different series, the standard BQ16 which is quad band BE25000; and the Pro series is BE30000.

Asus BQ16 is comparable with eero max 7; take a look at the following table 4 below to help you get insights between the products. Technically the total aggregated bandwidth for Asus BQ16 quad-bands is larger than eero 7 max tri-band.

eero max 7
Multi-Gig Ports

Both BQ16 and eero max 7 come with two 10G WAN/LAN Ethernet ports. However, Asus gives you option to use both 10G ports for LAN connection only if you just need 1G Internet speed. I have no idea if in the real world you require two 10G LAN ports. One 10G for high speed NAS that comes with 10G port is reasonable. What about the other 10G LAN port, for high speed server probably for office use?

In this article:

Asus Lower end wifi 7 products

Like other major networking brands, Asus offers a wide range of WiFi 7 products, from entry-level to high-end models, including both mesh systems and standalone routers. Demand is especially strong in the lower-end WiFi 7 segment compared to mid-range and high-end products. It’s no surprise, then, that most vendors – such as Asus, Netgear, and TP-Link – have introduced multiple affordable WiFi 7 options.

In the entry-level mesh WiFi 7 category, Asus offers the BD4 and BD5, which compete directly with TP-Link’s Deco BE23 and BE25. But, what about standalone WiFi 7 routers?

You’ll also find comparable options like the Orbi 370 series versus the Deco BE25 in this same segment. Or you may like to see comparison between Google nest vs Deco be25.

Asus BE3600 routers

For WiFi 7 routers, Asus provides several popular entry-level BE3600 models, including the RT-BE55 and RT-BE58. These routers compete closely with similar offerings from Netgear and TP-Link. So what sets the RT-BE55 and RT-BE58 apart? Let’s take a look at the comparison table below.

Both models belong to the same WiFi 7 class, delivering up to 3,600 Mbps of total dual-band bandwidth with 2×2 MU-MIMO support. The main difference lies in their connectivity options. While both have the same number of Ethernet ports, their configurations and features differ. The RT-BE58 includes a USB port that enables dual-WAN support, whereas the RT-BE55 does not.

Now let’s see how this Asus be58u perform compared to similar products offered by TP-Link and Netgear.

Asus be3600 vs Netgear vs Archer

Considering the large market share in this lower end class, each vendor tries to present products with certain advantages compared to other products while keeping prices as reasonable as possible.

In this be3600 network segment, let’s take Asus rt-be58u and compare it with Netgear RS100, and TP-Link Archer BE230. Table 2 shows you spec comparison table for Asus vs Netgear, while table 3 is for Asus vs Archer.

All the three products deliver the same aggregated bandwidth up to 3600Mbps dual band, each band support 2×2 MU-MIMO. Both Asus and Archer are designed with 4x external antennas, while Netgear come designed with 2x internal antennas with high power amplifiers.

TP-Link Archer BE230
Ethernet Ports

All the three products support multi-gig internet speed up to 2.5Gbps. With Asus BE58U, you can use either 2.5G Port or 1G port as WAN connection. So if you subscribe internet up to 1Gbps, you can use 1G port as WAN connection, while the 2.5G port as LAN port.

Netgear RS100 only comes with 2.5G port as WAN connection, while the other four Ethernet ports are 1G for LAN connection. On the other hand, TP-Link Archer BE230 is embedded with twin 2.5G Ethernet ports for WAN and LAN connection each.

In terms of Ethernet ports, Archer BE230 is more advantage than Asus be3600 and Netgear RS100.

Dual WAN port

One thing that makes Asus BE58U set apart with the other two rivals is the dual WAN support. You can connect WAN port to the cable modem such as Arris S33 or Netgear CM2000 cable modem (if you subscribe cable Internet) for primary internet connection, and you can use USB port for Dongle 4G/5G connection for secondary mobile Internet. When the primary Internet is down, the system will fail over to the secondary internet in ‘Fail over scenario’.  You can also use the load balance scenario with two internet source.

Netgear RS100 and Archer BE230 don’t support dual WAN. Netgear RS100 doesn’t come with USB port, but Archer does. However, Archer be230 with USB port doesn’t support 4G/5G dongle.
